SDeck is a pair of apps from Random Bit Logic LLC — one for iPhone and iPad, one for Mac — that let you trigger actions on your Mac from a nearby device. Both apps keep data on the devices you own.

What we collect

Nothing. SDeck does not collect, sell, or share personal information. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, crash reporters, or accounts, and the apps do not send data to us or to any third party.

What stays on your devices

None of this is uploaded to Random Bit Logic or to any third-party server. Deleting the apps deletes this data.

Local network

SDeck finds your Mac with Bonjour and talks over a direct connection on your local Wi-Fi. That traffic does not leave your network. The first time each app runs, the system asks for Local Network permission. Denying it prevents pairing.

Permissions on the Mac

Depending on the buttons you create, macOS may also ask for:

These permissions are used only to control your Mac at your request. They are not used to collect data.

This website

This site uses no cookies, analytics, or trackers. It is hosted by GitHub Pages, and the Mac download is served by GitHub Releases; GitHub may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver these files, as described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.

Children’s privacy

SDeck is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above will change and the new policy will be posted on this page.
